Rolling your times:

In order to accommodate making multiple runs on horses in a short period we have collectively decided to offer our barrel racers the following option:

Enter the spring thaw over flow Friday at 12pm or 1pm and roll your time to the Friday Barrels for buckles. Or enter the Friday Barrels for Buckles and roll your time to the Cinch Spring Thaw Timed Event. We will not allow Saturday 8am Cinch Spring Thaw Timed Event runs to roll back to the Barrel  for Buckles.  You must roll within your category meaning open to open youth to youth.
To roll you must enter both events online and email ponokaspringthaw@gmail.com by Sunday March 16 2025 to let them know you will be rolling your time.

Turn Out Fine:

Rule- All Turns out before Sunday  March 16 will be refunded and will not be in the payout. After Monday March 16   you will  not receive a refund and the entry fee will remain in the payout.

You can enter Friday Night Barrel For Buckles the day of the event. Pre entries will have priority and will run first.

Barrel for Buckles Side Pots:

Futurity side pot (horses born 2020 or 2021)
Entry fee: $100
Derby side pot (horses born 2017-2019)
Entry fee: $100

To enter the side pot you must be entered into Barrel for Buckles Jackpot

The Futurity is open to horses 5 years of age and younger of the competing year.  To be eligible for the Futurity, the horse must NEVER have competed in ANY barrel race prior to Nov 15  of the previous year.

The Derby is open to horses 8 years of age and younger of the competing year.

Horse papers must be emailed in by March 14 2025 to ponokaspringthaw@gmail.com to be verified.

If a horse is found to have been entered under false pretense, the horse will be disqualified.
